Every June, the club has a "Mini Show". This is a time for members to display their collections - either personally dug or artifacts/memorabilia collected. The Mini-Show is held at our regular meeting in lieu of a speaker meeting on the first Tuesday in June. This evening offers members an opportunity to see civil war items at their leisure and time to discuss and chat about relic hunting and collecting. Snack food and drinks are also provided.
The NVRHA hosts a picnic each fall for club members. We will sponsor a treasure hunt for young children, as well as a relic raffle with some fabulous prizes. Cold drinks and food on the grill will be provided, and club members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert as well as their own seating (chair, blanket, etc). This event is rain or shine.
In December we host an annual Christmas Party to celebrate the season with one another. Our picnic chairman, Steve Schroer, offers an incredible spread of food, snacks and drinks for our members. Like our picnic, the Christmas party is a free benefit to all club members. This event is held on the first Tuesday of the month at our usual meeting room at the Elks Lodge.
